SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities – University Policy
The University of Biskra supports Sustainable Development Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by promoting inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunities within its academic community. The institution is committed to ensuring that all students and staff are treated fairly and have access to the same opportunities, regardless of their socio-economic background, gender, or geographic origin.
To achieve this, the university implements policies that facilitate access to higher education for underrepresented and disadvantaged groups, including students from rural areas and low-income families. Support mechanisms such as financial aid, housing, and academic guidance help reduce barriers to education and improve student success rates.
The University of Biskra also promotes social inclusion and integration by fostering a respectful and diverse campus environment. Awareness initiatives and institutional regulations aim to prevent discrimination and encourage mutual respect among members of the university community.
Through these efforts, the institution contributes to reducing inequalities and promoting social cohesion, in line with the objectives of SDG 10.
