To promote the intellectual property protection culture in its industry, rights and copyright,
the Technology and Innovation Support Centre (TISC) at Biskra University organised the
1275 Decision awareness days on 04, 05 and 06 February 2025

, with Chetma University Pole faculties. Pr. Messaoud Karboua, Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies Faculty opened the
event and welcomed the audience, and then a series of awareness-raising lectures followed.
Dr Kamal Aoues, the Centre Director, gave a presentation on patents and how to file an
application for protection with the Algerian Institute of Industrial Property. Dr Soumia Hadj
Cheikh spoke on copyright and related rights, the procedures for filing applications with the
National Office for Copyright and Related Rights. Dr Kamal Awas gave a presentation on
trademarks and industrial designs and their protection procedures on behalf of Dr Mohamed
Yacoub. This multi-day event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of protecting
innovations and intellectual creations.
