On 04 December 2024, Biskra University Letters and Languages Faculty organised a national
forum entitled ‘E-Learning at The Cross-Roads: An All-Out Call for Rethinking its
Implementation in Algerian Higher Education’, supervised by the Faculty Dean Dr Brahim
Kethiri, attended by officials, professors and researchers from various Algerian universities.

The forum was organised to discuss ways to develop e-learning in Algerian universities and
the challenges facing its effective implementation and its importance of training teachers and
students to using digital learning tools and curricula adaptation to suit the requirements of this
modern technology. The faculty Dean stressed the forum’s importance for in-depth
discussions on the e-learning experience in Algeria, with the need for all concerned parties
concerted efforts. Many valuable interventions enriched the forum’s scientific discussions,
reflecting the relevance of such initiatives of e-learning in universities. This was a step to
enhance the capabilities of professors and students in dealing with digital educational tools.
