On Wednesday 13 November 2024, Biskra University held the local and Wilaya qualifying
rounds for university sports, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Glorious
Liberation Revolution.

These first sports event attendees were the faculties’ sports teams, the
Institute of Physical Education and the Faculty of Medicine Annex, Biskra and Chetma
University Services Directorates, the university environment committee for sports practice
promotion, and the technical committee represented by the Wilaya Federation for University
Sports, with a renewed structure as Mr Hakim Henano president. The University community
and the attending officials, led by the University Rector, Pr. Mahmoud Debabeche supervised
the opening by visiting the sports teams and expressed to them support and permanent
accompaniment, and motivation to honour Biskra University City in all sports forums,
praising each competitor’s efforts through the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural and
Sports Activities staff.
