Biskra University Health Awareness Days

Recommended by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and represented
by the Student Life Directorate, Biskra University Medical Centre organised, on Sunday 7th
October awareness days on the most important dangers like drug consumption, smoking, for
the benefit of the University community.

The fourth day included awareness-raising activities entitled “Pink October” with explanations and answers to questions and queries about the
disease provided by the doctors Dr Rahima Gherara and Dr Salma Ben Aicha. Dr. Lamia Ben
Yahia and Dr Wahiba Sekhri supervised the screening process early check-up throughout
October, and providing all tests at the centre’s level. The centre director, Dr Ahmed Merdassi,
called on all to come to the centre and benefit from the early detection of the disease. Biskra
University Health Centre aims to bring the health services closer to the students on campus to
instil a culture of health, as these events are important university health programmes.
