On May 13, 2024, Biskra University Psychological and Social Studies Laboratory of the
Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty organized a national forum titled "Historical
Memory and National Identity Preservation.
On behalf of the Rector, Mr. Abdelhamid Djeffal, Vice- rector for Training in the first and
second phases, attended, with the University community and officials the Secretary-General,
faculties’ Deans, the laboratory director, teachers and
students.
In the opening session, the Forum President, Mr. Tayeb El-Ammari, referred the
event great impact on promoting unity among society members due to its close association
with the historical memory, highlighting its objectives as:
- Raising awareness of Algeria history and its role in preserving national identity.
- Working to understand the terms subject nature.
- Bringing students to understand society unity strengthening and involving them to
developing the social bond.
- Working to promote identity and historical memory preservation by enhancing
modern media and means of communication.
