Celebrating the’ Victory Day, March 19, 1962’, Biskra University Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty organized on March 19, 2024, a historical national symposium entitled;The ceasefire is a military and diplomatic victory on The Ceasefire Agreement of March 19, 1962, through historical sources and academic writings;

The faculty Dean, Mr Missoum Belkacem, officials and cadres, faculties’ deans, teachers and students attended the event. In his opening statement, the faculty Dean praised the relevance of the organized topic highlighting the challenges of this agreement, pointing to the Red Hand Organization, which tried to undermine these achievements, and to the convergence between the Algerian and the Palestinian causes. Lecturers from many national universities of Biskra, Tebessa, Khemis
Meliana, Bouira, Batna 01, and others, made presentations with legal readings of the ceasefire and the 1962 Evian Agreement, through some liberation revolution leaders’ memoirs, narratives and academic writings.
