On Sunday, November 12, 2023, the Great Lecture Hall of the University of Biskra witnessed the launch of the awareness days on entrepreneurship events, under the supervision of the University Rector, Mr. Mahmoud Dababeche, and were present the university community, the Director of Industry of Biskra Wilaya, Mr. Yassine Bougria, and the various social and economic university partners.
During the opening ceremony, the University Rector referred to the Algeria states endeavour
to foster efforts aimed at creating emerging micro-enterprises and adopting them as a new
approach to diversify the national economy, and to get rid of the economic dependence on the hydrocarbon sector; he also stressed the relevance of higher education institutions’
involvement in this context, referring similarly to the increasing support directed by the
Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to encourage students entrepreneurs in
order to embody their ideas on the ground.
On a cue, the Director of Industry of Biskra Wilaya praised the integration of these events between the two sectors, within which the student can form an idea theoretically and practically of the whereabouts of emerging enterprises, and recalling of the Directorate of Industry activities, in this regard.
The Director of Biskra University Business Incubator, Mr. Mohamed Jallab, opened the first
day of these events communications, with a lecture on start-ups, business incubators and
accelerators and label procurement for an innovative project and start-up. It was followed by a lecture by Mr. Kamal Awas, responsible for technology development and innovation at Biskra University, on intellectual property to value research results. It is worth mentioning that the work of these awareness days was reinforced by exhibition spaces at the level of Economics and Science and Technology Faculties.
