The African Union Commission has announced the opening of applications for the second
cohort of the African Women’s Network for Conflict Prevention and Mediation FEMWISE-
AFRICA at continental level to strengthen the organisation by national and regional activities
network. Actually, our country attaches great importance to enhance the role and status of
women in peacekeeping and security operations. Our country adopted the National Action
Plan for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on women,
peace and security, and in Algeria’s hosting of the first FEMWISE-Africa network general
assembly held in Constantine in December 2017. The submission of the candidacy file must
be done online before 20 January 2025. For more information on the application process, the
