Sustainability and Net-Zero Strategy of the University of Biskra

Institutional Commitment

University of Biskra is committed to promoting environmental sustainability and supporting global efforts to address climate change. The university aims to progressively reduce its environmental impact and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Net-Zero Commitment

The university intends to achieve Net-Zero carbon emissions by 2030 through sustainable campus management, energy efficiency, environmental awareness, and green innovation initiatives.

Waste Management

• Promotion of environmentally responsible practices on campus.

Water Conservation

• Rationalization of water consumption.
• Maintenance and modernization of water systems.
• Awareness campaigns on water preservation.

Sustainable Mobility

• Encouragement of carpooling and public transportation.
