On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, the Audio-visual Centre of Biskra University held Workshops on Deep Learning of Images and Immersive Techniques organized by the Department of Computing, with LESIA Laboratory, of the Faculties of Exact Science and Nature and Life Sciences, in the presence of university community and officials headed by Professor Mahmoud Debabeche, the university Rector.

The statement of the Computing Department Head, Pr. Mohamed Chaouki Baba Hnini welcomed the university attendees and guests and displayed the events’ programme and the scientific participation of presenters from various universities, as well as doctoral students.
Then, the Faculty Dean, Pr. Abdallah Attaf valued the efforts of the of this three-day scientific event organizers.
On the other hand, the university Rector, remarked, during his opening
statement, that the scientific scheduled workshops are precious and advantageous opportunities for students, too. On this occasion, he congratulated Pr. Salim Bitam for being ranked by the American Stanford University among the 2% of the best world researchers.
These workshops include lectures by university teachers from inside and outside the country about the integration of real reality to virtual reality through human interactions and wearable technology, which include virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality(XR), as well as workshops to evaluate the work of LESIA doctoral students.
