In the October 26, 2023 issue of Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject, Biskra University has taken first place nationally alongside the University of Annaba and the University of Setif in the field of computer science, ranking 801-1000 globally.
On November 15, 2023, at the headquarters of the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), the Director of the Technology and Innovation Support Centre, Mr. Kamal Awas, received two (02) new patent inventions. This brought the total number to six (06) patents, and 26 new applications (patents) submitted, in addition to 58 patent applications filed this year 2023, to reach the total number of 84 filings. The total number of protection applications filed with the University of Biskra were 116 requests. Congrats to all the university community, with more successful achievements ahead.

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the Dean of the Faculty of Economic, Commercial and Management Sciences, with the Secretary General of the Faculty and officials, received international students at the Faculty in commemoration of the International Day of International Mobility. He welcomed them and listened to their concerns and suggestions, especially those related to recognizing the cultural aspect of their countries.
On Thursday 09 November 2023 evening, Biskra University’s Secretary-General, Mr. Hakim Henano, chaired, in the meeting room of the General Secretariat, a coordination meeting with members of the Joint Local Committee for the Promotion of Sports Practice in the university community, framed to activate the agreement concluded between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
